11.1 Events
The ‘Agility Challenge’ is an Athletics Award Scheme that is based around the fundamental core motor skills and was devised by IFTA for international purposes. There are three standard ‘Challenges’ with the option to run individual event scores. The IFTA Triathlon is the first of the ‘Agility Challenges’. This simple set of three events test athletic ability over a wide skills range including coordination, balance, speed, rhythm and leg strength. WEB COPY ©EVEQUE B a l a nce Tes t S p ee d B ou nce The ‘Challenge’ can be set up where space is limited and is designed to provide opportunities for large numbers of participants. Each young athlete should be given a personal scorecard on which his or her performances and scores are recorded. Emphasis should be on participation and self improvement.
