5.3.3.2 Kick Jumps
The young athlete should start by standing with both feet together and in one movement perform a ‘Kick’ Jump, which is basically a matter of kicking one foot forward and one foot backwards in mid-air before landing with both feet together. The exercise is repeated by kicking of the opposite foot forward.
5.3.3.3 Bunny-Hop Jumps
WEB COPY ©EVEQUE Bunny-Hops, which are two-footed jumps, can be introduced by gradually progressing from one Bunny-Hop to two Bunny-Hops to three Bunny-Hops and so on up to approximately seven Bunny- Hops. The young athletes should be encouraged to adopt a rhythm to ensure they proceed smoothly. Small two-way plastic folding hurdles can be introduced for the young athletes to Bunny-Hop over, which is a very basic form of plyometric training.
